How They Met
Not many people know this, but Emily and Tim actually met their very first day of summer orientation at the University of Michigan, on June 12,2012.
They both had been life long Michigan fans, and sports enthusiasts. It was only fitting that they were Sport Management Business majors in the School of Kinesiology!
Emily and Tim were mostly classmates and acquaintances until they started dating senior year. During their last few months at Michigan, you would likely find them at the Brown Jug, Rick’s, or Skeeps, and occasionally drifting down the Huron river.
New York Life
Following graduation they both made the move to the east coast with Emily working at Madison Square Garden, and Tim with the New York Red Bull’s.
Over the past 3.5 years Tim and Emily have enjoyed their time living in NYC, with all the amazing restaurants, culture, and shopping.
Most of all they loved being near Tim’s sister Lauren, and her husband AJ, as well as being a short train ride away from Emily’s family in Connecticut.
The Proposal
Who knew you could get engaged during a pandemic?! Tim had been planning the proposal for quite some time when the COVID-19 outbreak caused him to shift gears and plan for a quarantined engagement.
After securing a ring, Tim asked Emily to take the dogs for a walk before cocktail hour, and you know what happened next!
The only thing Tim did not account for was Teddy and Cruiser spotting the photographer. Once it happened, they protected their territory for all of Connecticut to hear. Tim and Emily powered through and the presence of the dogs made it an even more memorable proposal!
